{"id":67500,"date":"2026-03-30T16:37:35","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T16:37:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/lesotho\/all-news\/microsoft-unveils-ai-upgrades-and-copilot-cowork"},"modified":"2026-03-30T17:24:52","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T17:24:52","slug":"microsoft-unveils-ai-upgrades-and-copilot-cowork","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/lesotho\/all-news\/microsoft-unveils-ai-upgrades-and-copilot-cowork","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft Unveils AI Upgrades and Copilot Cowork"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ap-article-header-tag\"> <strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Lesotho. <\/strong> <\/span>On Monday unveiled new features in its Copilot research assistant that would allow users to utilize multiple AI models \u200bsimultaneously within the same workflow, the latest move by the tech \u200cgiant to improve its AI offering and boost adoption.<\/p>\n<p>In a new feature called &#8220;Critique&#8221;, Copilot&#8217;s Researcher agent will now be able to pull outputs from both OpenAI&#8217;s GPT and Anthropic&#8217;s \u200bClaude models for every response, rather than relying on a single \u200bmodel.<\/p>\n<p>While GPT generates the response, Claude will review the output \u2060for accuracy and quality before presenting it to the user, Microsoft said. \u200bThe company expects to make that workflow bi-directional in the future, allowing GPT \u200bto review Claude&#8217;s drafts as well.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having various different models from different vendors in Copilot is highly attractive &#8211; but we&#8217;re taking this to the next level, where customers actually get \u200bthe benefits of the models working together,&#8221; Nicole Herskowitz, corporate vice president \u200bof Microsoft 365 and Copilot, said in an interview with Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-model approach will help speed \u200cup \u2060user workflow, keep in check AI hallucinations &#8211; where systems generate false information &#8211; and produce more reliable outputs, boosting productivity and quality for customers, Herskowitz added.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft is also launching &#8216;model Council&#8217;, a feature that will allow users to compare responses \u200bfrom different AI models \u200bside-by-side.
