Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong> <\/span>Nations, Basotho included will endure the bitter implications of the current global economic developments as of April 05, the price of bread will go up.<\/p>\n

According to the Lesotho Bakery statement, the price of bread will increase by M1 per unit.<\/p>\n

The statement notes that the adjustment is necessitated by continued increases in input costs particularly fuel and packaging.<\/p>\n

It indicates that despite their efforts to absorb these rising costs and maintain their current pricing for as long as possible, the situation has made it unsustainable to continue without adjustment.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the Lesotho Bakery expressed commitment to continue providing high quality products and reliable service at all times.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, to offset the rising cost of living, the Government has expanded the list of zero-rated (tax-free) essential goods including bread, cooking oil (sunflower oil), fresh vegetables and fresh fruits.<\/p>\n
