Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>In honor and celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Episcopal Consecration of the late Bishop of the Diocese of Leribe, Right Reverend Malefetsane Paul Khoarai DD (Doctor of Divinity), a book on his life has<\/p>\n

been published and it is titled Being The champion in life. In an interview with Informative Newspaper, the author of this book who also happens to be a Catholic<\/p>\n

Seminarian Brother Philip T\u0161epo Lipholo disclosed that he wrote it to mark the fiftieth anniversary of episcopal consecration of the Late Servant of God (1970<\/p>\n

-2020) and to preserve his gigantic contribution in uniting and reconciling the<\/p>\n

Basotho Nation and other nations. This book is targeted at Christians and people of goodwill. Brother Lipholo also explained that the book details the life of Bishop Paul Khoarai from before he<\/p>\n

became a priest until his latest role as a Bishop. \u201cI wrote Being the champion in life through the permission of His Lordship Bishop Tumaole Augustinus Bane OMI, the Bishop of<\/p>\n

the Diocese of Leribe,\u201d Brother Lipholo disclosed. \u201cOne of the earmarks of this masterpiece is that it is internationally and academically recognized.<\/p>\n

It was published by Blessed Hope Publishing (Omniscriptum) Germany on the 22nd June 2021 and became available in Lesotho on the 27th August 2021,\u201d Brother Lipholo further explained.<\/p>\n

He noted that completing this book was not a smooth route. He said conducting his research was often halted by lack of finances and deficiency of information sources.<\/p>\n

He facilitated a small shop with other seminarians and also did pastoral work at St. Ann, Ha Mokhoro to overcome the financial obstacle. All the proceeds he got<\/p>\n

were used for transport when collecting data. Moreover, he used other sources such as consultations with elders and historians to ensure exactitude in terms of dates, names of actors in the book and names of places.<\/p>\n

Brother Lipholo indicated that Bishop Paul Khoarai was the third Bishop of the Diocese of Leribe and the first Diocesan Priest to be appointed by Pope Paul VI to be the Bishop of<\/p>\n

Leribe, he was only 37 years old when appointed and he reigned for 39 years as a Bishop. He established the Technical School of Leribe (TSL) and the School<\/p>\n

for the Deaf Hlotse. He also brought the Salesians of Don Bosco (Priests and Nuns) residing in Maputsoe and CLC Movement to Lesotho. Bishop Paul Khoarai built<\/p>\n

the biggest Cathedral in Southern Africa called St Monica\u2019s, Leribe. He passed away in December 2012. Brother Lipholo was born in Malimong Ha Mapeshoane, Teyateyaneng and did his schooling at Gethsemany<\/p>\n

Primary and St. Lawrence High School. Later, He joined St. Augustine\u2019s Major Seminary, Roma in 2011 and is a Seminarian for Leribe Diocese. Academically, Bro Lipholo<\/p>\n

holds two degrees: Bachelor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Laws. He also holds certificates from the University of London, Washington University, University of Navara,<\/p>\n

University and Macquarie University. Those certificates include, inter alia, diplomacy, art of speaking, leadership, conflict resolution and negotiate and<\/p>\n

international criminal law. Currently, he is an Assistant Researcher of the Faculty of Law, NUL and Master\u2019s Student at St. Thomas University, Houston, Texas, United States of America (USA). He is the first African to pursue MA of St. John Paul II Studies.<\/p>\n
