Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>The Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI), an organization that provides psychosocial support for children and youth through its governing body, was at a meeting with the media to announce the launch of the Sixth Psychosocial Support and Counseling Forum.<\/p>\n

Psycho Social Support (PSS) on Wednesday. REPSSI Ambassador for Lesotho Ms Phomolo Mohapeloa in her address explained that the conference will be held from 13 to 15 May 2021 where the theme of this year’s celebration is the use of science, to participate.<\/p>\n

and development. \u201c\u2018 This event within REPSSI is an event that is held twice over a period of two years. The purpose of the event is to showcase what you can do to improve the lives of people, especially children and young people, \u201dMohapeloa explained.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that the conference was delayed last year due to coronary heart disease as countries with their own specialists dealing with issues related to improving the lives of children and youth come together in one of the countries to exchange tips for skills that you use within the party to get the best.<\/p>\n

This year as a result of the corona’s death, the conference will be held in a joint manner but not in all 13 countries at the same time but each country will hold its own conference in connection with Mozambique. it will be the culmination of these other countries by sharing one document will affect all of them.<\/p>\n

Mohapeloa explained that once the organization has invited people to publicize the activities they are doing at the event it will come to Mozambique in the form of a document that is good for children and youth to ensure that such a document is not feel aligned to the content of the event so that they can give such a document a chance to be part of the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cREPSSI has realized that the participation of children and young people is a very important part of providing them with services, so we want to do things for the children only we also want to hear what they want us to do for them that way. they almost accept it, \u201dhe said.<\/p>\n

He pointed out that when an organization holds such a regular event there is a day when children come together from these 13 countries as children and young people from different walks of life such as those living on the street and married at the age of down and they share the issues that concern them in their lives and after their meeting they elect their representatives to be part of the main meeting to comment on the issues they have discussed.<\/p>\n

This is so that the participants will know their thoughts, interests, needs, worries and lifestyle. \u201cThis children’s meeting will be on 09 May 2021 as it will be the first of its kind and their meeting will be online to discuss their issues.<\/p>\n

There will be a delegation of 10 children from each country and they will want to take part in presenting their key point and within them select two who will be representing the main event to present their details and it is their partner, \u201dhe puts it.<\/p>\n

He went on to point out that in terms of providing support and counseling for children and youth there is a platform set up to share all of this and they expect there will be people from government departments who work together.<\/p>\n

as well as Social Development, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services. Mohapela described REPSSI as a national health and mental health organization for children and youth, operating within 13 countries in the South and West in the African region.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe organization has been in Lesotho for the past 15 years, regularly caring for child and youth caregivers by providing them with skills on mental health issues and programs and qualifications.<\/p>\n
