Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>MAFETENG Mafeteng Aerobics Wellness Club Trainer Refiloe Maphisa says Aerobics sport deserves recognition and funding like all existing sporting codes in the country.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview with Informative Sport on Tuesday, Maphisa said independent Aerobics clubs make all attempts to familiarize Aerobics sport to the entire community<\/p>\n

with the inclusion of its instructive and training programs to spread information on the media\u2019s diverse platforms and show its importance. \u201cThe reason is that most people believe that they can only train at the gym or<\/p>\n

clubs, not knowing that aerobics sport is convenient and can be performed everywhere either from home, indoors or outdoors,\u201d Maphisa explained. He further revealed<\/p>\n

that as participants, they are making all attempts to unite country wide and bring back the fallen Aerobics associations. He also disclosed that he joined<\/p>\n

aerobics at the age of 11 at primary school level. \u201cI carried on with Aerobics from that time until now when it has turned out to be my full time job.<\/p>\n

Currently I am part of Mafeteng Aerobics Wellness Club working as a coach, the club which has 4 years of existence,\u201d he said. Maphisa noted that the club\u2019s focal point is to educate people on how to build their bodies regarding weight<\/p>\n

management and good nutrition, it engages all age groups in the programs, that is children, olds and employed people. \u201cExercise sessions are on daily basis in<\/p>\n

the morning and afternoon except for weekends, so due to the emergence of corona outbreak, we introduced online session through Whatsapp and Facebook platforms in order to communicate with clients to make it easy for them to go<\/p>\n

on with programs at their respective homes,\u201d he announced. He added that through those online platforms, they also advise people on how to eat healthy, cook<\/p>\n

food properly and also to frequently include fruits and vegetables in the diet to boost their wellness. \u201cThis is for the main reason that people are just<\/p>\n

eating, unaware that various diseases and weight gain or loss are caused by poor nutrition,\u201d he stated. Moreover, Maphisa said at these trying times of Covid-19, he recommends people<\/p>\n

to always comply with the country\u2019s Covid-19 precautionary rules and regulations when conducting trainings by sticking to outdoor programs. He showed that at the moment, Aerobics assist with stress management as people are<\/p>\n

stuck in their homes and fighting mental health problems, he affirmed that through Aerobics people can release stress. \u201cApart from that, Aerobics helps to retain<\/p>\n

good breath, blood circulation, release useless water and also burn unnecessary body fats which can be toxic. In a nutshell, aerobics also help people to avoid<\/p>\n

sugary foods that can spread chronic diseases like high blood pressure, sugar diabetes and thereby alleviates chances of Covid-19 infection. It also aids to<\/p>\n

evade the norm of staying at one place watching television the whole day,\u201d he noted. The Aerobics Trainer further informed that this is a huge sport that can help youth to reduce high unemployment<\/p>\n

rate as it has a huge potential of job creation. \u201cI encourage them to go out, explore what can be useful for them to start Aerobics clubs as it does not require expensive nor special equipment,\u201d he informed.<\/p>\n
