Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Econet Telecom Lesotho in partnership with Enrich Stores today launched a cashless payment service through a point-of-sale integration system on its mobile money platform, Ecocash.<\/p>\n

This innovation, according to Econet, serves will offer convenience to Enrich customers. Econet sales and distribution manager, \u2019Matikoe Letsie, said the new service will mutually benefit the store and its customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the customers, the process of payment is very easy as long as they are registered with Ecocash, and their Ecocash wallet has been deposited into.<\/p>\n

This service also encourages customers to avoid walking around with cash,\u201d she explained, \u201cEnrich Stores will also be protected from possible cash robberies and fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201d She indicated further that due to the spread and easy contact of Covid-19, the cashless service will help reduce chances of infection.<\/p>\n

On behalf of Enrich Stores\u2019 directors, Maine Maine said the platform is a major step towards a cashless society. He expressed his appreciation to Econet for the partnership and recognition.<\/p>\n
