Africa-Press – Lesotho. <\/strong><\/span>Gas cylinder supplier Afrox is set to deliver 150 cylinders of medical oxygen in Lesotho this afternoon. Each cylinder contains 8,600 litres of oxygen which is equivalent to 11.5kg.<\/p>\n

Oxygen cylinders will be dispatched to hospitals that are in dire need to cover over the weekend then distribute to other hospitals for general upkeep.<\/p>\n

According to a statement by NACOSEC, on Monday 1st February 2021, Afrox is expected to deliver medical oxygen to Berea, Motebang and Butha Buthe. On Tuesday Mafeteng, Mohale`s Hoek and Quthing will receive oxygen, while other hospitals are expected to collect oxygen from Afrox Lesotho.<\/p>\n

NACOSEC said this initiative is a short-term plan, adding that the medium-term plan is to use the already existent plant and that in the long term, the plan is to complete oxygen plants at Mafeteng and Motebang hospitals, respectively.<\/p>\n
