President Weah Receives Moroccan Envoy

Africa-Press – Liberia. President George Manneh Weah, today received a special envoy from Morocco who delivered to him a special message from Mohamed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Younes Sekkouri on December 27, delivered the message from King Mohamed VI and stressed his country’s unwavering commitment to improving the bilateral relationship between Liberia and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The special message was sealed and the Liberian Chief Executive reciprocated with a sealed message to King Mohamed VI through Sekkouri.

In a brief discussion, Weah and Sekkouri exchanged commitments to enhance and strengthen the cordial relations subsisting between their two nations. They spoke of mutual respect for culture and diversity which each country stands to benefit from the other, including development programs in the areas of trade and commerce, infrastructure development, employment opportunities, and human capacity development.

Sekkouri, who is also Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, conveyed his leader’s compliments to President Weah and the Government and people of Liberia.

Today’s Courtesy visit was also attended by Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
