Africa-Press – Liberia. Ambassador Massally commended UBA’s impactful presence across Africa and its contribution to Liberia’s financial sector. He expressed appreciation for the bank’s efforts in supporting inclusive banking and fostering cross-border business initiatives.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Liberia, Mr. Ayokunle Olajubu, paid a courtesy visit to the Sierra Leonean Ambassador to Liberia, His Excellency Eddie Sidikie Massally Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Liberia, as part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to deepening regional cooperation and enhancing public sector engagement.

Mr. Olajubu was accompanied by Madam Lady-Lawrene Dennis, Head of Public Sector Group and EMDOS at UBA Liberia, and Mr. Merfee Joseph, Relationship Officer of EMDOS. The visit focused on strengthening bilateral ties between UBA and the Sierra Leonean diplomatic mission, with discussions centered around trade facilitation, public-private partnerships, and the Pan-African banking role of UBA in promoting regional economic integration.

During the meeting, Ambassador Massally commended UBA’s impactful presence across Africa and its contribution to Liberia’s financial sector. He expressed appreciation for the bank’s efforts in supporting inclusive banking and fostering cross-border business initiatives.

Mr. Olajubu reiterated UBA’s commitment to providing innovative financial solutions and support for government and private sector initiatives that align with Africa’s development goals. “At UBA, we believe in empowering Africa by connecting markets and people through seamless banking solutions. Our relationship with the Sierra Leonean mission is part of this broader vision,” he stated.

The visit concluded with a mutual expression of interest in future collaborations aimed at promoting financial literacy, diplomatic cooperation, and regional trade integration.
