The Community Transformation Project of Believers Eastern Church, under the leadership of Father Sachin Pakhre, has distributed school supplies to 1,000 children across the Lakpazee, Matadi, and Doe communities in Monrovia.
The outreach, held between September 11 and 15, provided children with school bags, shoes, copybooks, and stationery to help families prepare for the new academic year.
Community leaders and residents warmly welcomed the initiative, describing it as a blessing at a time when many parents struggle to provide basic necessities.
“We are beyond grateful for this tremendous support,” said Comfort Doe. “As a mother, it fills my heart with joy to know that my child will start school with everything they need to succeed. This is a blessing to us all.”
During the distribution in Lakpazee, Father Pakhre encouraged children to not only receive but also share their blessings.
“Today you are blessed,” he told the children. “But remember, blessings are not just for you to keep. When you are blessed, share that blessing with others. You are the light of this community, and as you receive, may you also give spreading love and kindness wherever you go.”
The project has become a source of hope for families, offering children opportunities to overcome barriers to education.
In communities where food insecurity and economic struggles remain daily challenges, the support has been described as life-changing.
Father Pakhre, who led the outreach, was celebrated by community leaders and parents for his compassion and dedication.
“The Believers Eastern Church is honored to be part of these children’s journeys,” Father Pakhre said. “Our mission is not only to provide material support but to offer a message of love, hope, and faith. With the grace of God, we will continue to serve and uplift these communities.”
The Community Transformation Project has become a key initiative of Believers Eastern Church in Liberia, offering practical support while fostering dignity and faith.
It can be recalled that the Church presented school items to Distribution Lakpazee Community on September 11 and Matadi Community September 13 while Doe Community was on September 15.
With this successful initiative, the Believers Eastern Church reaffirmed its commitment to transforming lives through faith-driven community empowerment, bringing lasting change and renewed hope to families in need.
