Africa-Press – Liberia. The Unity Party (UP) Legislative Caucus in the House of Representatives is mobilizing its members and supporters nationwide for what it calls a “historic national fund drive” set for December 6, 2025.
The initiative seeks to raise funds for the construction of the party’s national headquarters and the establishment of county offices across Liberia.
The disclosure was made through a statement issued by the Chairman of the UP Legislative Caucus in the House of Representatives, Bong County District #4 Representative Robert Flomo Womba.
Rep. Womba said as part of the process, lawmakers representing the ruling party are urged to rally their constituents and counties of origin to ensure massive participation and contribution toward the ambitious fundraising goal.
“As Chairman of the Legislative Caucus of the Unity Party at the House of Representatives, I want to take this moment to appreciate all Caucus Members for their continued commitment and dedication to the growth and progress of our great party,” Rep. Womba said.
He emphasized that the upcoming national fundraising drive marks a pivotal moment in strengthening the UP’s organizational structure and expanding its presence at the grassroots level.
“This initiative is aimed at supporting the construction of our National Headquarters as well as the establishment of County Headquarters across the bailiwick of the country, which is a crucial step toward strengthening our Party’s grassroots presence, growth, viability, and organizational structure,” the statement read.
Rep. Womba encouraged all members of the caucus to demonstrate leadership by mobilizing resources and engaging supporters within their respective counties.
He pointed out that the event will also serve as a moment of solidarity and renewed commitment to the Unity Party’s vision and values.
To motivate participation, the caucus has announced a friendly competition among counties, with special recognition to be given to the three counties that raise the highest amounts during the drive.
“Let’s make December 6, 2025, a day of solidarity, generosity, and renewed strength for the Unity Party (UP). Together, we are stronger — together, we move UP,” Rep. Womba declared.
The fundraising drive he maintained, comes at a time when the UP, under the leadership of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, continues efforts to strengthen internal structures and reaffirm its dominance as Liberia’s ruling political institution following its 2023 electoral victory.
Among other things, he added that the upcoming event is expected to draw participation from national and local leaders, partisans, and well-wishers of the Unity Party across the country.
