Africa-Press – Liberia. Liberia is set to face Guinea in an international friendly on November 15, 2025, in Morocco, the President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Mustapha Raji, has announced.
The fixture will see the men’s senior national team, the Lone Star, return to international action as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.
Head coach Thomas Kojo, serving in a stand-in capacity, has released his 21-man squad for the encounter, a mix of home-based talents and overseas professionals eager to make their mark.
However, the Lone Star will be without several key names due to injuries, including Czech Republic based defender Sampson Dweh, midfielders Murphy Oscar Dorley, aDivine Teah, and Malta based forward Nicholas Andrews, who have all been ruled out.
Squad Overview
Kojo’s selection reflects a blend of experience, youth, and international exposure.
Ten of the invited players are overseas-based, players currently plying their trade in Europe, Asia, and Africa, underscoring the team’s growing global representation.
Goalkeeper Tommy Songo is expected to lead from the back, supported by Junior D. Yeanaye.
In defense, Kojo has called up Prince Balde, youngster Emmanuel Fully, Kemon Kamara, Josephus Mantor, Nelson Laomie, Philip Tarnue, and Meschach Greene, forming a versatile and disciplined backline.
The midfield will be controlled by Solomon Tweh, Yaya Bility, Kindness Cole, and Jegbay Konneh, a unit that combines energy with technical skill.
Up front, Edward Ledlum, Daniel Toe, Ayouba Kosiah, Sulahmana Bah, Emmanuel Flomo, Bryant Farkarlum, and Chauncy B. Freeman will lead the attacking charge, hoping to make the most of their opportunities against a tough Guinean side.
A Test of Depth and Direction
The friendly in Morocco offers Kojo and his technical staff an important chance to assess team chemistry and tactical readiness, particularly in the absence of several regular starters.
Stand-in Coach Thomas Kojo says he intends to use the match to build on the team’s structure ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and to help improve Liberia’s FIFA ranking through consistent international competition.
The Road Ahead
Under Kojo’s guidance and with LFA President Mustapha Raji’s continued backing, the Lone Star continue their rebuilding phase with a focus on consistency, discipline, and exposure.
The match against Guinea will serve as a vital step toward strengthening the squad and enhancing Liberia’s reputation on the continental stage.
Liberian football fans, both at home and abroad, will be eager to see how the mix of local and international players perform as the team looks to reignite national pride.
