Commencement Address: A Call to Integrity

Mr. Wilson B. Kahnplaye, Human Resource Management professional with over 15 years of experience, delivered the keynote address centered on the theme: “Cultivating the Value of Academic Integrity: The Roles of University Administrators, Faculty, Students, and the Larger Community.”

He emphasized that academic integrity is the foundation of any credible institution. “When academic integrity fails, competence declines. Universities lose credibility. Degrees lose value. Employers lose confidence. Academic integrity is essential to success.”

He challenged the administrators to uphold righteous leadership and embed integrity in every institutional decision, faculty members to model ethical behavior, cultivate character, and remain examples of professionalism and graduates to become ambassadors of truth, uphold honesty, resist shortcuts, and serve Liberia with conviction.

“Your character is your credential. Your honesty should be your heritage. Your integrity should be your influence.”

He also called on the Community to continue supporting the growth of students and institutions, recognizing that education succeeds through collective investment.

A Charge to the Graduates

In his closing charge, Kahnplaye urged the Class of 2025 to “Go far with courage, go far with purpose but above all, go with integrity. The world does not just need your degrees; it needs your honesty.”

He congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to become Liberia’s next generation of ethical leaders, nation builders, and change agents.
