The Alpha Old-Timers Sports Association (AOSA) has elected a new leadership team to steer the organization’s affairs for the next two years following a successful general election held on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

At the close of the polls, suspended Deputy Sports Minister J. Bryant McGill was declared President-elect.

Joining him in the new leadership corps are Ansu Dulleh as Vice President, Ryston Gbelia as Secretary General, and Benneditus Kun as Financial Secretary.

Mr. McGill, who previously served as Vice President under outgoing President Ivan Brown, brings a sense of continuity to the post.

In the most competitive race of the day, Mr. Dulleh secured the vice presidency by defeating Mr. Kla Wilson in a 47-to-17 vote landslide.

Preserving a Legacy

In his acceptance remarks, President-elect McGill emphasized a vision of reconciliation and growth, pledging to foster unity and strengthen cohesion among the association’s diverse membership.

He paid tribute to the association’s founding members, describing them as the “enduring pillars” of Alpha Oldtimers. McGill specifically highlighted the contributions of late pioneers, including Willis D. Knuckles Jr., Cllr. Theophilus C. Gould, and former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court Soko Sackor noting that their commitment laid the groundwork for the association’s long-standing success.

A New Chapter

“We are committed to upholding and preserving the legacy of our founding fathers,” McGill stated.

He vowed that his administration would lead the Alpha Old-Timers into a new era defined by “unity, accountability, and progress.”

The Alpha Old-Timers Sports Association remains one of Liberia’s most prominent social and athletic organizations, composed of veteran professionals and former athletes dedicated to promoting physical fitness and community engagement.
