Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The General Auditing Commission has kick-started a headcount of civil servants in Maryland County. The exercise, which began on April 4, gathered a turnout of local government workers from the Ministries of Education, Internal Affairs, Agriculture, and Justice, as well as from the Fisheries, Security, and Health sectors and other agencies of GoL at the Harper Administration building, to participate in the validation process.<\/p>\n

At the start of the exercise, Robert Kaba, GAC Team Head, said the move is intended to validate the legitimate old and new employees of the Government whose names are on the government\u2019s payroll. The process, the GAC said s expected to last for a month.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kaba further said that the nationwide headcount, and verification of civil servants is aimed at helping the government to have a real utilization, realization of government resources and its expenditure annually.<\/p>\n

He then said that \u201cHarper and Pleebo will run from Monday, April 4 to April 10; Barrobo from April 11 to April 13; while Karluway District will be served from April 14 to April 16, 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cthe exercise is also intended to correctly verify some key documents of those individuals to include National Identification Registry Citizens ID card, Working ID card, employment letter, academic credentials, and social security ID card, among others.<\/p>\n
