The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Chrisgeor Academic & Vocational Institute Madam Christine Y. Kennedy has launched a passionate plea to Humanitarian Organizations and other philanthropist groups to help support the Institution as it strives to accomplish its mission.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2019, the Chrisgeor Academy and Vocational Institute is a non-profitmaking 100% Liberian owned and operated institution that provides quality and affordable education for mostly less-fortunate kids in Boys Town, Margibi County who intend to acquire education but have little or no means.<\/p>\n

As stands, the school wants support to provide free education for kids from Nursery to K-2 effectively next academic year.<\/p>\n

The decision taken by the Institution\u2019s board to provide free education for the kids results from a survey conducted in four of the school\u2019s operational Communities in Margibi which states that about thirty-two (32) Parents whose kids are between the ages of three (3) and fifteen (15) were unable to attend this academic year due to low income.<\/p>\n

Madam Kennedy told KMTV Liberia that it will be cold-hearted to witness children roaming about in a community that has an up to standard school that provides quality education without considering the less fortunate.<\/p>\n

\u201cOthers would have taught of collecting high fees to make more money but for us, we are anxious about the future of those kids; that\u2019s why we can\u2019t sit and watch them grow without education, we must do something with the little we have\u201d She explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe really need support, we are calling on the government, everyone who believes in kids\u2019 education to quickly come in and support our dream so that the hopes of these kids cannot be dashed out\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can also feed them while they are on campus so if anyone has food, books money or any material necessary for schooling, we will highly appreciate\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n

According to Madam Kennedy, they want to see a society where people will stop thinking that quality education is only for wealthy kids and that every kid, in spite of his\/her parents\u2019 financial status, will achieve quality and affordable education in preparation for a brighter future.<\/p>\n

This, according to her could contribute to the development drive of Liberia; stating that education lessens the challenges one faces in life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe more knowledge you gain, the more opportunities will open up to allow individuals to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth; that is the reason why we are passionate about our kids\u2019 education\u201d.<\/p>\n

She said the quality education they are offering has the power to change the life of the kids, their communities and society by extension.<\/p>\n

According to her, from the start of the program, they have not gotten single support from anywhere, and everything they do comes from their pocket.<\/p>\n

She stated that for the vocational component, they are offering cosmetology, catering, event Decorations, computers, Tailoring and Several others.<\/p>\n
