Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Prince Walker Group of Companies has donated a set of Lone Star Jersey and a set of Bib to the Liberia National Handball Association (LNHA).<\/p>\n

Speaking in a press conference on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at his office on Benson Street in Monrovia, CEO Prince Opoku Walker said the donations are intended to get the team ready for its upcoming game with Ivory Coast in Abidjan from July 3-9, 2022.<\/p>\n

Mr. Walker urged Liberians to support all sporting departments and organizations in the country, rather than only being excited about football.<\/p>\n

He said giving back to society is his passion, adding that he loves his country and will always be there to help the economy of Liberia.<\/p>\n

The Prince Walker Group of Company CEO at the same time encouraged every well-being Liberian citizen in the diaspora to support sports in the country, noting that the government can\u2019t do it alone.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that coming back home to help is very important and this is the reason why he decided to start the Prince Walker Group of Companies.<\/p>\n

Mr. Walker disclosed that 500 Liberians are employed with the Prince Walker Group of Companies and Charity Organization in Gardnersville community, Patient Shop, DabweTown under the Mam Beatrice Scholarship Foundation with hundred kids attending a free school that provides meals.<\/p>\n

For his part, the National Handball Association Secretary-General Haji Musa A. Sesay thanked Mr. Walker for identifying with the team in these difficult moments, adding that Liberia is in Zone Three of the international handball tournament with eight (8) teams, including Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Bokinafaso and Niger.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sesay said the National teams (Youths and juniors) lack jerseys, and he appealed to the public to emulate the good example of the Prince Walker Group of Companies by making a donation.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the next match will be Liberia\u2019s fourth time appearing in the international handball tournament.<\/p>\n

The National Handball Association climaxed the 2022 season over the weekend at the University of Liberia Court in Monrovia with Ducor Athletics Club winning the trophy for the second time with 16 points but goal difference against Central Freeport.<\/p>\n
