Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Three months after signing a L$2.25 million sponsorship deal with Tamma Corporation, Cece United Football Club on Monday, August 1, signed a new partnership deal with Jungle Water Group of Investment, valued at L$1 million.<\/p>\n

The deal will run for the next two years, according to the agreement.Jungle Water is a Liberian-owned business that trades in general merchandise, with branches in seven of Liberia\u2019s 15 counties and headquarters in Nimba County. The company is also involved with other business services including hospitality, electricity, petroleum and mining, among others.<\/p>\n

Under its electricity services, Jungle Energy Power, a licensed distributor of electricity in Nimba County and beyond, the company currently has over 7,000 connected customers in various categories.<\/p>\n

According to the agreement, Jungle Water will \u201cmake a total annual sponsorship donation in the sum of L$500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Liberian Dollars) for the term of the agreement in two (2) equal installments \u2014 the first installment made immediately upon the signing of this agreement and the second, six (6) months after the collection of the first installment.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of the agreement, Jungle Water, owner of Jackie\u2019s Guest House in Ganta, Nimba, will also \u201cmake available lodging for Cece United players and officials when visiting Nimba County for a match or an event (relative to the club) during the lifespan of this agreement.\u201d However, senior executives will also benefit from such hospitality when visiting Nimba County.Meanwhile, Cece United as part of the agreement will promote and advertise the images and brands of all Jungle Water Group of Investment products and affiliate companies\u2019 products and services.<\/p>\n

Gbanja Scott, Chief Marketing Officer of Cece United, expressed delight over the partnership and termed it as a great boost to the club ahead of its debut season in the Orange second division league.<\/p>\n

He also described the decision of the company to partner with Cece United as \u201cSelfless\u201d based on the fact the company, which also owns a team in the same league, will choose to sponsor a competing team.<\/p>\n

Jungle Water is now an official partner of three first division teams including Nimba Kwado (owned by Jungle Water), Muscat FC and Cece United.<\/p>\n

The company also organizes an annual pre-season tournament, dubbed \u201cthe Jungle Water Cup\u201d for teams in both first and second divisions.For his part, Tomah Floyd Jr, General Manager of Jungle Water Group of Investment, said his company deemed it necessary to partner with Cece United due to its visibility and the level of progress and impact being made by the club in a short period.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe uprising of Cece United is quite visible and Cece United has continued to impact the lives of young football players coming up in the country. We have seen the efforts and improvements they have made towards the development of football in Liberia and [we] at Jungle Water decided to push their efforts and reward them with this partnership,\u201d Mr. Floyd said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Floyd also used the occasion to encourage other businesses operating in Liberia, particularly sports lovers, to see reasons to partner with clubs and other sporting organizations in the country for the betterment of sports in the country.<\/p>\n

Cece United have become one of the fast-growing teams in the Liberian league after taking four seasons to progress from the 4th division to the 1st division league. After securing promotion to the 2nd division league last season, they took the league by surprise as they went on to win the 2nd division league title this season and will participate in the top-tier league next season.<\/p>\n
