Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The local authorities of Grand Cape Mount County have praised the management of Bea Mountain Mining Company for meeting up with its corporate social agreement within the host communities.<\/p>\n

The Bea Mining Mountain Company (BMMC) entered into a Corporate Social Agreement to provide monthly assorted food items and cash to the elderly of those host communities within the concession areas that included Darblo Clan Mana and Laar in Gola Konneh District, Grand Cape Mount County.As part of the agreement, the BMMC will give every month to the elders of those host communities assorted food and cash as fulfillment of the agreement by distributing 150 bags of rice and 30 gallons of oil, including US$3,750 to each of the host communities\u2019 elders.<\/p>\n

Speaking in a joyous mood on Wednesday, August 10, during the presentation of the items by BMMC, the statutory Superintendent, Frank Sheriff, expressed gratitude to the management of Bea Mountain Mining Company for the fulfillment of their commitment, describing the gesture as a good relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you commit, it means that you are going forward with a good relationship if you live by it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sheriff said they, as local authorities, received the assorted food items and cash for the elderly.<\/p>\n

Also, speaking the County Superintendent, Aaron Vincent, thanked the BMMC management for such a vital donation to the good and loving people of the county.\u201cThis is not surprising; as a few months ago we received some donations. And today again the company is doing it on behalf of the people,\u201d he indicated.<\/p>\n

Supt. Vincent further noted that the move by BMMC is the best step towards a good working relationship.<\/p>\n

The Grand Cape Mount Superintendent further indicated that if the company wants to have a good relationship with its partners, the best thing to do is to live up to its commitment, something that BMMC is now upholding.<\/p>\n

He further assured the management of BMMC that if they keep up with their commitment, the people of Grand Cape Mount will be willing to work with them.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what it means for one man to get three bags of rice and US $75.00 is not something small,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Speaking on behalf of the Elders, Chief Momo Thomas extolled BMMC for coming to the aid of the elders within those communities.<\/p>\n

He also appreciated the county\u2019s local authorities for their role played during the formulation of the agreement which the elderly are now enjoying from the BMMC Management.<\/p>\n
