Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>With less than 24 hours to the U.S. Midterm election, a Liberian, Rev. Torli Krua is leading a proposal calling on all people of color and Americans of goodwill to join in creating what he called an \u201cemergency exit and an off-ramp on the two-lane highway of death and self-destruction that Democrats and Republicans are trapped in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rev. Krua discovered that every ballot in the Midterm election has one open \u201cwrite-In\u201d slot for every voter to choose their own candidate not listed on the ballot if they are not satisfied with the \u201cpolarized\u201d Democrat or Republican candidate printed on the ballot.<\/p>\n

By marking \u201cPEACEMAKERS\u201d on all the \u201cwrite in\u201d slots, Rev. Krua said is a huge opportunity for people with common sense to end the division and gridlock the Republicans and Democrats are trapped in.<\/p>\n

Rev. Krua has created a new movement creating an emergency exit and an off-ramp to save America.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Sunday, the renowned Liberian advocate based in Boston, Massachusetts said after the \u201cPeacemakers\u201d is tallied nationally, the commonsense movement would embark on healing and uniting the United States by first taking a week-long Contrition and Service Retreat, with the oppressed human beings living in poverty at the two symbols of American racism and colonization on Earth; The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota and West Point, Monrovia, Liberia-the two worst places for human habitation on Earth.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cOnly those who make the trip and serve the oppressed will qualify to run for office in the next election to give Congress a fresh start and rebirth of America, not as a Nation of Immigrants but as a Nation of Nations with an agenda to pass laws that specifically mitigates the harm of racist laws codified by Congress, including the March 26, 1790 law, that made America the Nation of White European Immigrants, the American Colonization Laws that removed and colonized Americans in Liberia in order to keep the Institution of Slavery alive, The Indian Removal Act of 1830, that removed and killed Native Americans, Apologize for slavery, make reparations for slavery-If America can come up with billions of dollars to support justice for Ukraine, AKA clean up Putin\u2019s behind, America can clean up its own behind in the USA and Liberia. The ethnically cleansed African Americans, aka \u201cfree men of color\u201d were colonized by the US Government through a law passed by Congress on March 3, 1819, that appropriated $100,000.00 in American taxes and authorized the force of the US Military: They were escorted by the U.S. Navy ship Cayenne landed at the port of Freetown, Sierra Leone in search of a suitable place to build an American Colony. Later, the U.S. Navy Ship Nautilus commanded by U.S. Navy Captain Robert Stockton join the group and help secure land by pointing a pistol at the head of King Long Peter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly the oppressed can save America\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Rev. Krua, the leaders of the Republicans and Democrats cannot unite America, only those oppressed by America can.<\/p>\n

On November 7, 2020, President-Elect Joe Biden joyfully offered to unite and heal America. \u201cWith the campaign over, it\u2019s time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation. It\u2019s time for America to unite. And to heal. We are the United States of America. And there\u2019s nothing we can\u2019t do if we do it together.\u201d<\/p>\n

With nearly two years into his presidency, Rev. Krua said instead of uniting America, President Biden is neglecting America\u2019s mess of polarization, colonization, and chronic systemic racism in his own backyard and seeking to clean up Putin\u2019s mess of colonialism by seeking \u201cjustice\u201d for Ukraine by spending billions of dollars.<\/p>\n

Through America\u2019s action, he said Mr. Biden is simply saying that Americans and the rest of the world would have to pay more for gasoline and energy to contain Russian aggression.<\/p>\n

On Biden\u2019s participation in Queen Elizabeth funeral, Rev. Krua said the U.S. President left behind him the American mess of slavery and colonization to mourn the collapse of the \u201cbrutal barbaric\u201d British Empire and the demise of the Queen, a British Monarchy; while reechoing his comments after he signed a book of condolence and visited her lying-in-state in Westminster. \u201cYou were fortunate to have had her for 70 years, we all were. The world\u2019s better for her.\u201d Biden sang \u201cGod save the King.\u201d<\/p>\n

Like the Democrats, Krua Republican Party cannot unite and heal America. After the 2020 elections, President Trump claimed he won, even though he lost. He noted that Trump supported a mob that violently stormed the US Capitol in an insurrection that resulted in multiple deaths.<\/p>\n

Democrats and Republicans stance on Racism against Blacks<\/b><\/p>\n

Rev. Krua is a prominent Liberian human rights advocate and founder of the Universal Human Rights International (UHRI) based in Boston. Through the UHRI, Rev. Krua made significant achievements in the advancement of refugees and minority groups in the United States.<\/p>\n

His UHRI launched the Free Liberia Movement, which calls for a re-birth of the Liberia and end to \u201csystemic racisim against black people, especially Liberians and other minority groups.<\/p>\n

Rev. Krua to has over the years repeatedly challenged some historical facts regarding United States role in the formational of Liberia and its aftermath.<\/p>\n

In his statement, he asked, \u201cHow good are the Democrats and Republicans when it comes to racism against Blacks in general and the ill-treatment of Liberians in particular?\u201d<\/p>\n

Giving some historical backgrounds, he said President George Washington signed the law of 1790 that \u201conly white persons<\/b>\u201d could be citizens. After President Washington, eight presidents of the United States, including Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, and John Tyler, supported ethnic cleansing that aimed to strengthen the institution of slavery while removing and banishing African Americans and Native Americans from the land of their nativity, he wrote.<\/p>\n

The competition between American politicians supporting officially sanctioned racism has been fierce, he said. Writing further, he said \u201cOnly white governors ruled the colony of Liberia from 1822 until 1842. During that period, of the 4,571 African American emigrants who arrived in Liberia between 1820 and 1843, only 1,819\u201440%\u2014were alive in 1843. American government officials knew African Americans exported to the colony were dying but still continued to send them while welcoming over 1.12 million European immigrants from 1790 the Apartheid law was passed by Congress and in 1840 when thousands of Native Americans and Africans were dying while American apartheid was implemented.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWhile the harm of the 1790 racist laws continues to harm Liberians, the Federal Government passed laws to protect animals, the Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals, signed on November 20, 2019, by President Trump criminalized ill-treatment of animals with up to seven years imprisonment, cruelty to human beings and refugees protected under International Humanitarian Laws has gone unchallenged for centuries Congress passed a law in 1992 that allowed 52,968 Chinese nationals granted DED after the Tiananmen Square incident to adjust to permanent residency status. The Chinese are not alone. Congress also passed legislation that allowed 150,000 Nicaraguans, 5,000 Cubans, 200,000 El Salvadorans, and 50,000 Guatemalans to adjust to permanent residency status. If work permits were good for Chinese, Cubans, and El Salvadorans.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said former President George W. Bush, a Republican, would not grant work permits to all Liberians who were seeking a safe place in America. President Obama, a Democrat did exactly the same thing that Bush did, he said.<\/p>\n

According to him, Trump signed the Fairness Act but it unfairly excluded 6000 thousand Liberians. And Biden signed an executive order that excluded thousands of Liberians. Biden signed a second Executive order for Liberians that still excluded Liberians, but signed an Executive order that included all persons from Hong Kong. He also signed separate Executive orders that included all Afghans and all Ukrainians in the USA.<\/p>\n

He ended his statement with scriptures from the Bible.<\/p>\n
