Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The Alternative National Congress (ANC) says it has no intention of forming a collaboration with the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).<\/p>\n

The ANC’s rejection comes in response to the CDC Secretary General’s declaration in the year-end review that the ruling establishment is in talks with the ANC about a potential partnership before the general election of 2023.<\/p>\n

In a press release, the ANC stated that it rejects “any such contemplation and reiterates its commitment to making the George Weah-led government a one-term government.<\/p>\n

“Such a statement from the CDC is a clear indication of the party’s fear of an imminent opposition\/Cummings victory in 2023,” the statement continued. “It also furthers the CDC’s tactics and game plan to cause disruption within the opposition community.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) has described as \u201cdisinformation\u201d the assertion by Koijeee that the CDC is in talks with the CPP constituent member, ANC, for a collaboration.<\/p>\n

The CPP now comprises the Alternative National Congress which is historically a break away from the CDC and the Liberty Party.<\/p>\n

The CPP categorically denied being in talks with the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change.<\/p>\n

The CPP stated in a statement: \u201cThis is not only wishful thinking on the part of the CDC regime that has lost its way, but a shameful and callous lie intended to sow seeds of discord and confusion within the ranks of the CPP and in the minds of the Liberian people and draw attention away from the dismal performance of the CDC administration over the past five years.”<\/p>\n

“Even after five years of squandering the nation\u2019s resources, and most recently embarking on an almost two-month jolly-jolly vacation, during which $1.5 Million of taxpayers\u2019 money was wasted, President George Weah and the CDC remain insensitive, unaccountable, and unapologetic to the Liberian people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Describing the Weah-led administration as a \u201cwicked regime\u201d, the CPP stated that neither of its two constituent members is interested in patronage from the CDC which, according to them, has outlived its usefulness.<\/p>\n

The CPP further assured its supporters that it remains committed to its agenda for socio-economic advancement, democratic consolidation, and making the failed regime of President Weah a one-term Presidency.<\/p>\n
