Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Direct Relief, an American-based organization, has donated huge consignment of drugs and medical supplies to the Bong County Health Team.<\/p>\n

The drugs and medical supplies are meant to be given to citizens free of charge at various health facilities across the County.<\/p>\n

Materials donated include: Sodium chloride 0.9%, Fluocinonide 30mg cream tube, Metformin Hydrochloride 1000mg, Abuterol sulfate 0.09mg\/ and Acyclovir 200mg\/500ml amongst others.<\/p>\n

The shipment arrived in Liberia late Monday evening via the Robert International Airport.<\/p>\n

Bong County Health Officer, Dr. Cynthia Blapooh, received the drugs and medical supplies on behalf of the county.<\/p>\n

Dr. Blapooh thanked the American based organization for the two shipments of drugs and medical supplies sent to support the Bong County health system thus far.<\/p>\n

She emphasized that the drugs are to be distributed among major health facilities in the county to be administered on a FREE of charge basis to the patients.<\/p>\n

The Bong County Health Officer at the same time urged the donor to continue to buttress the government in such direction for the common good of citizens.<\/p>\n
