Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Liberian International goalkeeper Boison Wynney de Souza has joined Romania\u2019s 2nd Division, Liga II side Asociat\u0326ia Fotbal Club Progresul Spartac 1944 on a five-month loan from fellow second-tier outfit Gloria Buza\u0306u.<\/p>\n

Wynney, who has represented the national football team of Liberia in four international matches, arrives in Vrabiei Entrance after a short adventure in the second league of Greece with Doxa Drama. He began his senior career in 2016 at CD Europa, a team in the 4th League of Spain, before moving on to CD Llosetense, CD Binissalem, and even the second team of Mallorca. He returned to CD Binissalem in the summer of 2020.<\/p>\n

Although Boison was born in Spain and spent his entire football career in Europe, his father\u2019s origins made him eligible to represent the African nation of Liberia. He has played in four international matches so far, including qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup in Qatar, as well as a recent friendly against Egypt.<\/p>\n

Boison Wynney\u2019s Romanian adventure began in the 2021-2022 season of the 3rd League at Somes\u0326ul Dej, where he appeared in 13 matches, conceding only 10 goals. Last summer, he was co-opted by Gloria Buza\u0306u, where he was the goalkeeper assigned to the Romanian Cup matches, meeting teams from the first echelon such as UTA Arad and FC Botos\u0326ani, and recording a good performance, with a \u201cClean Sheet\u201d, against Ot\u0326elu Galat\u0326i, according to the club\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n

Asociat\u0326ia Fotbal Club Progresul Spartac 1944 Bucures\u0326ti, commonly known as Progresul Spartac Bucures\u0326ti or simply as Progresul Spartac, is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest and founded in 2014. Currently, the team plays in Romania\u2019s 2nd Division, Liga II. The club was founded by a wing of the former club, Progresul Bucures\u0326ti, but does not claim the record, logo, or the succession of the old entity, despite the fact that it uses some elements of the original brand (bleu and blue colors; the sycamore leaf). Its objective is \u201cto revive the spirit of Progresul from Cotroceni.\u201d<\/p>\n
