Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The Training Command of the Armed Forces of Liberia on Friday, February 24, 2023, graduated thirty-three officers as part of the ongoing recruitment drive by the Armed Forces of Liberia.<\/p>\n

The 33 graduates were commissioned by the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Wesseh Blamo who represented the Commander -In -Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia President George Weah.<\/p>\n

General Surgeons, General Practitioners, Anesthesia, Obstetrician, Gynecologists, Public Health Specialists, and Civil engineers were the areas of study the 33 officers undertook.<\/p>\n

The program was held at the Barclay Training Center (BTC) and brought together government officials and development partners including some members of the Foreign Mission.<\/p>\n

Minister Blamo, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs representing President George Weah said the graduation and commission of officers of the Armed Forces of Liberia is an achievement for Liberia.<\/p>\n

Minister Blamo appreciates members of the AFL for their sacrifices and commitment to their country Liberia.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you are graduating today, I urged you to focus on your military career. Lead by example,\u201d that Minister of State added.<\/p>\n

Minister Blamo continues: \u201cAs professional career officers, with diverse professional backgrounds, your comrades will look to you for guardians and leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tibli Olandrus Dickson is the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Defense. Speaking on behalf of Defense Minister Daniel Ziankahn told the audience that it was a special day for the Armed Forces of Liberia family to commission the members of the officer candidates\u2019 class.<\/p>\n

He recorded that having been overwhelmed by the Corona Virus, the Armed Forces of Liberia thought it wise to revitalize the health system within the Armed Forces of Liberia.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, as a country, this is a significant milestone. We want to appreciate our military, the government, and our development partners,\u201d Deputy Minister Dickson said.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cToday marks a significant milestone. It is the first in the history of the Armed Forces of Liberia that we have this number of professionals deciding to serve their country.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Armed Forces will continue to build its capacity to serve the Liberians and to perform its civil-military obligation,\u201d Mr. Dickson added.<\/p>\n
