Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Speaker Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa on Saturday has formally dedicated one of his four school projects in Chemgbetee Town, Dorboh Statutory District, Grand Kru County, which put to end the miseries of over 300 school going children from walking about two hours to nearest school in Doeswen.<\/p>\n

The construction cost including the furniture and instructional materials of the 9-classroom facility, named the John Fannoh Karpeh Elementary School, is actually US$60,000.00. But inconsistency and corrupt contractors led to the spending of approximately US$70,000 before full completion. The school is named in memorial of Elder John Fannoh Karpeh, the maternal grandfather of the Deputy Speaker, from Buah Statutory District.<\/p>\n

During the school\u2019s dedication, Grand Kru County District #2 Coordinator, Chris Joboe, on behalf of the Deputy Speaker said Cllr. Koffa has broken the generational barrier to ensure the next generation benefits quality and quantitative educational opportunities in line with the adage that says \u201d A statesman thinks about the next generation While A Politician thinks about the next election.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joboe said: \u201cBesides the schools projects, the Deputy Speaker \u01d0s also constructing handpumps, five of which have been completed as the time providing scholarshipals to more than 500 children and giving macroloans to women, tools to farmers and contributing to the renovation of health centers, schools and t\u00ecen halls and rehabilations of roads.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joboe indicated that recently, the Deputy Speaker has disbursed US$1,400.00 to the Francis Forkay Doe Elementary & Junior High School in Bolloh Barforwin and donated 50 bags of cement and four bundles of zincs to the A.A. Hoff Elementary & Junior High School in Big Suehn, Kplio Statutory District for the renovations.<\/p>\n

The District Coordinaor furthered that Ahteenah Radio\/TV in Barcayville has been upgraded, land has been procured and construction works of Ahteenah Radio\/TV building, has begun.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, the Deputy Speaker has initially contributed US$15,000 and four drums of fuel for the Bolloh road construction,\u201d Joboe stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Chemgbetee Town Chief Augustine Weah, on behalf the people and t\u00ecen, in his verncular thanked the Deputy Speaker for the fulfilling the school project.<\/p>\n

He said with the completion of the school, Chemgbetee Community and surrounding commmunities whose children will benefit from the school have pledged their support to his reelection.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want say, Rep. Koffa has not only w\u00f2n our hearts, but the hearts of children and children\u2019s children,\u201d Chief Weah said. The District Authority, Friends of JFK in Dorboh Statutory, Women, Youth and Elders have also extend their thanks and appreciations.<\/p>\n

However, in December, the Deputy Speaker is expected to also formally dedicate the US$60k\u2019s George T\u00f9gbeh Worjloh Elementary School in Sasstown, Jraoh Statutory District as well aa dedicate about eight (8) handpumps and install 100 solar street light in the Bolloh Community.<\/p>\n
