Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The National Patriotic Party (NPP) has strongly warned its expelled chairman, James Biney, to stop claiming chairmanship of the NPP.<\/p>\n NPP, a constituent party of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), said Mr. Biney is the Co-Chairman for the opposition Unity Party Campaign.<\/p>\n NPP National Chairman George Mulbah told a press conference over the weekend in Congo Town that Senator Biney is falsely presenting himself as NPP National Chairman.<\/p>\n He warned that it is a violation of the party\u2019s constitution and that the party will not hesitate to seek legal redress.<\/p>\n Attorney Mulbah explained that Senator Biney was expelled front he NPP and he is now a Co-Chairman of the opposition Joseph Boakai Campaign Committee.<\/p>\n But Mulbah complained that Biney has been using the name of the NPP in the opposition camp.<\/p>\n He accused Biney of embarking on activities aimed at creating division in the ranks and files of the NPP.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have been silent thinking he will come to his senses and desist, but it seems that he is going too far and [we] will take legal action if he continues to do so,\u201d said Atty. Mulbah.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Atty. Mulbah condemned Ambassador Boakai\u2019s threat to arrest and seize the properties of corrupt CDC government officials if he wins the presidency this October.<\/p>\n Mulbah said Boakai\u2019s threat is a witch hunt of officials of the government.<\/p>\n For his part, NPP National Secretary General Andrew Peters said the Unity Party-led government was three times more corrupt than those Boakai believes are corrupt.<\/p>\n According to him, the CDC-led government can never feel threatened by Amb.
