Charlyne Brumskine has warned Liberians to think twice before voting on October 10 as the country stands at a crossroads.<\/p>\n Brumskine, who is running mate to the standard bearer of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Alexander Cummings, noted that the country\u2019s transformation is only possible if Liberians stop voting for corrupt leaders.<\/p>\n \u201cTo move forward in this country, it is imperative that Liberians break free from the cycle of electing leaders who have perpetuated corrupt practices,\u201d Brumskine said at the opening of the Collaborating Political Party headquarters.<\/p>\n \u201cYou will be asked, when you were given the opportunity to change your country, to do better, what you did?\u201d she asked. \u201cDid you vote for corruption or did you vote for jobs? Did you vote for a bad school, or did you vote for a growing economy and better healthcare?\u201d<\/p>\n Brumskine added that Liberia has over the years been plagued by corruption, as a result of the election of bad leaders, which has hindered the country’s progress and development for far too long.<\/p>\n If Liberians continue to vote corrupt leaders, they inadvertently endorse a system that perpetuates suffering and stifles progress, Brumskine said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is essential for citizens to recognize their power as voters and demand accountability from those seeking public office.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a new day for Liberia. God will give us one more opportunity to decide, and that decision is to vote Mr. Cummings and Cllr. Brumskine. We are the ones who can bring development, who can bring jobs, who can bring infrastructure, who will not be corrupt, who will not take your money and use it for ourselves,\u201d Brumskine said to a huge crowd of voters over the weekend.<\/p>\n She also used the occasion, which was organized for the cutting of the ribbon to the Collaborating Political Party Montserrado County District 6 headquarters, to pitch a positive outlook for Martin Kollah’s legislative ambition.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes the best leaders are not the ones all over, and as such, it will be good to vote [for] someone who has integrity like Martin Kollah.<\/p>\n \u201cDistrict #6, the choice is yours.
