Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary General of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, Mayor Jefferson Koijee, says no member of the opposition bloc is capable of taking Liberia back to the 14 years of civil unrest that took over 250,000 lives.<\/p>\n \u201cThese elections must be won on the basis of hard work and not on the basis of applying scare tactics and intimidation because absolutely, nobody has the capacity to take Liberia back to Butuo\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n Mayor Koijee spoke late Tuesday, September 12, at the ruling CDC headquarters in Congo Town when one of Liberia\u2019s best performing musical artists, Kpanto, and his entire A4 Record endorsed President Weah\u2019s reelection bid and donated 250,000 Liberian dollars as his contribution to the ongoing campaign of the President.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re bluffing and they need to understand that all those comments are scare tactics; these elections must be won on the basis of hard work, not by using scare tactics and intimidation\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe in the CDC are far bigger than scare tactics and intimidation, We\u2019ve been down that road on numerous occasions and never fell; imagine those people who created your could not intimate us, what makes you think you can do such.\u201d<\/p>\n He reiterated nobody has the capacity to obstruct the democratic process because the owners are the Liberian people, and they will do all they can to protect it.<\/p>\n Receiving the cash donation on behalf of President Weah, CDC Chairman Mulbah Morlu, thanked A4 Record Empire especially, skinny boy Kpanto for the donation.<\/p>\n Mr. President of the street, we are in campaign, this money is a surprise to us; we will not play around this money that you have donated, he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will turn over every dime and nickel to the President and your contribution, this money represents every street person in this country, and this is how we\u2019re going to win in the first round. I\u2019m also a street person and today\u2019s endorsement is for every street person.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking earlier, Musician Skinny Boy Kpanto said, he was moved by President Weah\u2019s style of leadership since coming to power in 2018.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite making some critical songs against this government, I\u2019m still alive; it\u2019s against this backdrop that I have thought it wise to fund his campaign and to endorse his reelection bid\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n He thanked God for all He has done in his life and declared his membership for the CDC, saying \u201cI\u2019m here today to join the CDC.
