Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Montserrado County Electoral District #8 Representative Moses Acarous Gray of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has recommitted himself to continue his role of providing effective representation for his people.<\/p>\n

Gray is seeking a third term and has received the endorsement of 22 communities in his district.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stand here today to recommit ourselves in ensuring that what you elected us for shall be executed,\u201d said Mr. Gray.<\/p>\n

He assured women of the 22 communities within district #8 that he won\u2019t let them down.<\/p>\n

He applauded them for being selfless, thinking about the entire district.<\/p>\n

Gray informed the women that the election will not just be about them, but their children, whose future depend on the decisions that will be made during the 10 October 2023 polls.<\/p>\n

He said his presence in the Legislature also made a significant contribution in ensuring that public universities and colleges are tuition-free.<\/p>\n

Gray warned that an attempt to dash that opportunity into the dustbin will lead to hardship on the people.<\/p>\n

Besides, he said the CDC government has also provided opportunities for other Liberians to school abroad.<\/p>\n

He said it was disheartening that \u201cselfish and greedy\u201d politicians would use students at public universities to continue protesting against the opportunity provided by the government, even though they enjoy free tuition.<\/p>\n

\u201cRepresentation in Liberia is not just about district, but the country. That is why it is important to have people who will pass legislation to ensure Liberians benefit from certain [things],\u201d Gray added.<\/p>\n

Gray argued that there was never electricity in Soniwein Community, but through a legislation he drafted, the community residents are now benefiting from electricity.<\/p>\n

Gray said there is no district in the country benefiting from electricity, paved road and safe drinking water facilities compare to District Eight.<\/p>\n

He told the women that he remains committed to his promises that can be implemented in time and does not intend to lie to them.<\/p>\n

Mr. Gray stated that gone are the days rubber will be tapped in Liberia and taken outside for production.<\/p>\n

He said it was time that a rubber factory begins the production of rubber materials in Liberia within the next two years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m extremely gratified for this endorsement program today,\u201d said Mr. Gray.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday is not just about history making, but about the decision that will affect your generation and the generation unborn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the 22 communities\u2019 development council chairladies, Madam Lovina J. Krangar informed the crowd that the purpose of their gathering was to endorse Rep. Gray\u2019s third term bid due to his advocacy role and his astute leadership ability.<\/p>\n
