Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The people of Kpaii District, Palala, Bong County Electoral District #1, like every part of Bong, including Salala, Totota, Jorquelleh, Sanoyea, Kokoya, Gbartala, and Gbarnga, have resolved to reelect President George Manneh Weah, for another six years to steer the affairs of state.<\/p>\nResidents of Kpaii, Palala District, gathered in their numbers recently to welcome President Weah and members of his campaign team to the county, chanting slogans and singing, \u201cWe dedicate our lives to vote George Weah; opposition don\u2019t like it, we will stand by you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking in separate remarks, they outlined challenges facing the district but pledged full support for the reelection of incumbent President George Weah.<\/p>\n
James T. Kpoiwee, Acting Commissioner of Kpaii Administrative District, reaffirmed the district\u2019s commitment to the 2nd term bid of Mr. Weah in giving him a re-sounding one-round victory.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have come today in our numbers to reaffirm our commitment to supporting you fully for second term; \u201cWe have seen the level of work your administration has done \u2013 good healthcare, electricity, free school for our children, and more keeps coming,\u201d Kpoiwee said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe people you see here are people who turned out in their numbers to vote for you in 2017, and it was not a mistake \u2013 we knew this government could make the difference, and yes indeed, you are making the difference, today we have free electricity, good health facilities, and our children are going to school, so we are proud of you. Therefore, it is our overwhelming commitment to voting you again for a second term.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of first-time voters, Betty Tomperfield, who won herself a brand new Smart Tablet from the Office of First Lady Clar Marie Weah, for her eloquence, pledged first-time voters\u2019 hundred percent support for President Weah, saying that young people in Liberia have benefitted immensely under the Weah administration.<\/p>\n
She named the payment of WASSCE fees, something that she urged the President to continue while thanking him for roads connectivity, electricity, health facilities, and many infrastructural developments across the country.<\/p>\n
Miss Tomperfield called on fellow youth to shine their eyes and leave no stone unturned in giving Mr. Weah a resounding first-round victory come October 10th.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo my fellow young people of Kpaii District, and first-time voters, don\u2019t allow yourselves to be fooled by any politician again, as you all know, President Weah, has done much for us, and let us vote for our President to continue with developments\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n
For his part, Gabla Vicente Williams, Representative Candidate for Bong County Electoral District#1, urged the district to unite in giving President Weah a one-round victory.<\/p>\n
Mr. Williams noted that politically, the district has been divided, with mixture of supporters.<\/p>\n
But he assured his commitment to vigorously campaign for the President\u2019s re-election while frowning at low votes from the district that he blamed on the NPP, a constituent party of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).<\/p>\n
In response, President Weah pledged to continue his development agenda, if re-elected as well as to complete his unfinished work to avoid opposition from stealing his glory.<\/p>\n
\u201cGive us our second term and be the judge\u201d, Mr. Weah told the citizens, explaining \u201cThe reason I\u2019m asking for second-term is for you to be the judge. We have gone six years of our work, though we have done much for you, but there\u2019s much left to do\u201d, he pointed out. <\/b><\/p>\n
