Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The President of the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) Dr. Alvin E. Attah has admonished graduates of the university to make a meaningful impact on the growth and development of Liberia.<\/p>\n AMEU held its 23rd graduation ceremony for 627 students from various colleges on Wednesday, 1 November 2023 in Royesville, outside Monrovia.<\/p>\n According to Dr. Attah, if Liberia is to experience economic growth and development, Liberians must make use of the education acquired.<\/p>\n He described education as the bedrock of every society, urging graduates to pursue higher education for the betterment of the nation.<\/p>\n Dr. Attah also revealed that the university plans to create a department to empower people living with disabilities to achieve their desired goals and objectives.<\/p>\n Dr. Attah indicated that the department will help provide space for physically challenged people to acquire quality education and be factored into the larger society without discrimination.<\/p>\n For her part, the guest speaker of the 23rd graduating class Dr. Carma Chinyere Love urged graduates to embrace unity among themselves for a better nation.<\/p>\n Dr. Love who is an author and motivational speaker, described unity as the most powerful tool of every successful nation across the world.<\/p>\n Also speaking, the valedictorian of the 2023 graduating class, Hawa G. N. Kolubah encourages her fellow graduates that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge.<\/p>\n According to her, it is a tool that shapes the future of a nation and also the key that helps unlock the potential within everyone and enables them to make informed decisions.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we place high value on quality education …, we\u2019re empowering ourselves as youth, with the tools we need to bring about the change we want to see in Liberia,\u201d Hawa said.<\/p>\n She told graduates that as they walk out of the walls of the AME University, they should constantly be reminded that they are architects of Liberia\u2019s growth and they must strive in pursuit of excellence in everything they do.<\/p>\n Ms. Kolubah of the Jean Bell Manning College of Business and Public Administration walked out of the walls of the AME University with a Summa Cum Laude and a grade point of 3. 760.<\/p>\n For More News And Analysis About Liberia<\/a> Follow Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Bridgett Milton Africa-Press – Liberia.
