Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Liberia Football Association First division outfit Global Pharma beat Second division side Wologisi FC in a penalty shootout to progressed to the next round of the Orange Cup at Tusa Field on Saturday November 4th after full- time ended goalless to set up a clash with Watanga FC.Wologisi FC missed three out of four their five penalties while Global Pharma Joseph Nimely missed leaving Menjestu Klarry, Emmanuel Toe and Oliver Sekey to score and secure a 3-1 shootout victory for the Pharmacists.<\/p>\n

The Pharmacists went into the match hoping they could get a comfortable win but Wologisi give them a run for their money as they held the top flight club to a goalless first half.<\/p>\n

Both team give good account of themselves in the match with Wologisi having a last minute golden opportunity but Global Pharma keeper Emmanuel stood up to the occasion to denied the boys from Lofa County from seven yards to the disbelief of fans.<\/p>\n

Amadiah Kawah, James Richardson and Randy Dukuly had several scoring opportunities to give their side Global Pharma the lead or to win the game on the pitch but were denied and wasteful in front of goal which resulted to the game going to penalty.<\/p>\n

The match was a fitting ending after 90 goalless minutes of wild swings in a game that careened from end to end all evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt great,\u201d Oliver Sekey told FrontPage Africa. \u201cIt was a great relief and we\u2019re glad to be in the next round.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have confidence in myself and I knew which penalty I wanted to take and that\u2019s what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The quality of the penalties were super with the Pharmacists finding the net with three spot kicks.<\/p>\n

Wologisi\u2019s first two efforts were placed fired wildly off target and their fourth was also missed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were great penalties,\u201d Global Pharma keeper Emmanuel Toe said. \u201cI was prepared as always. I tried to put pressure on the takers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s still a long way to the final but it will be a big game against one of the best teams in the Country Watanga FC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keatu Smith \u2018s Pharmacists, 2-times Cup winners, are chasing another cup this season after returning to the top flight at the end of last season.<\/p>\n

Watanga who took a bye from the first round in the Orange Cup secure a 2-0 win over Global Pharma on the opening day of the first division league and the pharmacists will be hoping to secure a win in revenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe showed we can beat them Watanga so let\u2019s hope,\u201d Toe s said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are on the right track with a win today and fighting for the top four. It\u2019s not enough but it\u2019s a big step.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a very tight game we played a very good team,\u201d Club captain Marvin Blapoh said. \u201cWologisi play really good football. We are now in the next round but we have big games coming up against LISCR and Bea Mountain so we need to go home and recover.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other matches played in the Orange Cup Heaven Eleven beat LPRC Oilers 4-2 while Cece United secure a 2-0 victory over Philadelphia Lone Star.<\/p>\n

Invincible Eleven sealed a hard fought 1-0 win over NPA Anchors, Freeport FC suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Second Division Outfit Jubilee FC.<\/p>\n

In an all second division clash Margibi FC and Mighty Enforcers FC played to a 2-2 draw but Enforcers won 5-4 and penalty.<\/p>\n
