Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The standard bearer of the Vision for Liberia Transformation Party (VOLT) has officially congratulated President-elect Joseph Nyumah Boakai, stating that he believes in the latter\u2019s ability to deliver toward prosperity and opportunities.<\/p>\n In an exclusive telephone conversation with this paper Tuesday, 21 November 2023, Dr. Whapoe said with Amb. Boakai emerging as the winner of the presidential run-off election, he doesn\u2019t think that VOLT has lost.<\/p>\n Dr. Whapoe described Amb. Boakai as a father who has similar political manifestos which focused on poverty alleviation, job creation, and above all, agriculture.<\/p>\n \u201cI want to congratulate my father Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai for winning the presidency. To admit, I have explicit confidence in his abilities to transform, deliver and rescue Liberia,\u201d said Dr. Whapoe.<\/p>\n \u201cVOLT has lost but with Amb. Boakai winning the Presidency, we have won because he will deliver all that the Liberian people need,\u201d Dr. Whapoe stated.<\/p>\n The opposition politician said he believes that road connectivity, health and education, particularly youth development, will be paramount to his leadership.<\/p>\n Dr. Whapoe at the same time urged Amb. Boakai to ensure that reconciliation is key on his agenda, adding that Liberia is divided currently across political lines.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are calling on Amb. Boakai to ensure that he reconciles Liberia. To be sincere, Amb. Boakai is a man of wisdom and I believe that he can do that,\u201d said Whapoe.<\/p>\n With the people he has close to him and as a veteran in Governance, Whapoe believes that Boakai will deliver for Liberia, particularly because he experienced in governance.<\/p>\n Dr. Whapoe explained that Amb.
