Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Kpailama Agro-Business Enterprise, a local agriculture company in Liberia, is set to begin the production of clear oil in the country by early next year. The company is currently procuring a machine that will convert red palm oil into clear oil.<\/p>\n

According to Mr. Sylvester Kpai, the Head of the group, their processing plant can currently produce two tons of red palm oil per hour. However, the company aims to transform the crude palm oil (CPO) into clear oil by March of next year.<\/p>\n

The company plans to produce various types of oil, including red oil and clear oil, starting next year. Kpailama Agro-Business Enterprise is located near Kpain Town, close to the Ganta to Gbarnga highway in Nimba County. The company is primarily engaged in oil palm production, packaging, and shipment, Kpai said.<\/p>\n

Currently, the company operates 200 acres of palm trees and is on the verge of acquiring another 1,000 acres of farmland to expand its palm plantation and increase production at its factory. Kpai disclosed that the processed red oil is currently being exported to Guinea, Ivory Coast, and they have even secured a contract with an Agro-business in the United States of America.<\/p>\n

\u201cCurrently, our processed red oil is shipped to Guinea, Ivory Coast and we got a contract with an Agro\u2013business in the United States of America. By March next year, we will be shipping processed red palm oil to the USA,\u201d Kpai said.<\/p>\n

By March of next year, they will begin shipping processed red palm oil to the USA as well. Kpai has also mentioned that the company aims to create employment opportunities for more than 100 Liberians by the end of 2025, both in the plantation and processing plants.<\/p>\n

Kpai added that by next year, the company will employ over 100 Liberians by the end of 2025 to work on the plantation and at the processing plants.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are doing agriculture as a business, where we are also involved in animal husbandry, raising cows, pigs, goats and among others,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that many young individuals in Nimba County are actively involved in Agro-business, managing and cultivating Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) or Medicinal Plants. Kpailama Agro-Business Enterprise is also currently involved in a project with the World Food Program, distributing palm oil to schools in three counties and supplying palm oil to an organization called Mary\u2019s Meals.<\/p>\n

\u201cCurrently, our company is implementing a project for the World Food Program. We are hired to distribute palm oil to schools in three counties and also supply palm oil to an entity called Mary\u2019s Meals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
