Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The graduates of the 21st Commencement of the African Bible College University have been urged to be appreciative to God in everything.<\/p>\n

The orator, Dr. Charles E. Hunt, told the graduates to always be thankful to God, because giving thanks alone is a sacrifice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you give thanks, you defy the enemy, you cannot be angry, you cannot be envious and you cannot keep grudge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Quoting the biblical scripture, Colossians 3:17, Dr. Hunt encouraged the students that, as they embark on the next phase of their life journey, they should always remember the Almighty God, giving him thanks all of the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cStudy God\u2019s word, read it, before and after, so you will know the truth and live by the truth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The ABCU graduated 17 students in this year\u2019s commencement exercises. The Class of 2023 is named \u2018Class of Confidence\u2019.<\/p>\n

The school offers six disciplines, including BSc in Biblical Studies, BSc in Education; BSc. in Mass Communications; BSc. in entrepreneurship; BSc. In Agri – Business and BSc in Business Management. However, the institution is anticipating introducing a bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology.<\/p>\n

In his congratulatory message to the graduates, ABCU President, Dr. David Buz Beauchamp, said life can be considered as a series of decisions, some big and some small.<\/p>\n

He said, bad decisions can lead to terrible outcomes, while good decisions can lead to amazing results.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations first on choosing Christ, then on choosing ABCU and God-honoring education,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe door for future success is opened wide, by following the Lord\u2019s leading, the most important decision has been made correctly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Dr. Buz, as he is known among the campus community, challenged the graduates that the book of the law shall not depart from their mouth, but should always meditate on it day and night…<\/p>\n

\u201cThis book(Bible) of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it,\u201d he said, quoting the Book of Joshua 1:8.<\/p>\n

Mr. Goanue Paye, District Education Officer for Sanniquellie Mah, challenged the students to do their best and defend the degrees they have acquired.<\/p>\n

He explained that coming from a college with a degree and not being able to defend the degree acquired brings shame to the entity and discredits its credibility.<\/p>\n

The ABCU\u2019s local board chair, Rev. A. Too Williams, Pastor, Trinity Episcopal Parish in Monrovia, told the graduates to bear in mind that learning is unstoppable. \u201cYou always keep learning and in the course of learning, you should take away pride.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the school is informing the public that the 2024 entrance examination is expected to be held on December 16 and 23, 2023, respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are working on a plan to introduce our graduate program soon and hoping that you will take advantage of this Master\u2019s program,\u201d said Dr. Chinchen, former President of ABCU.<\/p>\n

ABC was founded in 1979 in Yekepa, Liberia, with the goal of training church leaders, the institution has gone beyond that goal and many other courses have been included. The college has branches in two East African countries, including Malawi and Uganda.<\/p>\n
