Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Naymote Partners for Democratic Development has disclosed that it has acknowledged receipt of the Unity Party\u2019s detailed rejoinder dated December 11, 2023, highlighting critical concerns about the cataloged promises made during President-elect Boakai\u2019s successful presidential campaign.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on Monday, Naymote expressed deep appreciation for the UP\u2019s feedback, emphasizing its pivotal role in maintaining fairness, impartiality, and professionalism in its promise-tracking process.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe deeply appreciate your feedback, recognizing its vital role in upholding fairness, impartiality, and a spirit of patriotism and professionalism in our promise-tracking process,\u201d Naymote added.<\/p>\n

Following a thorough review of the UP\u2019s concerns, Naymote recognizes the political commitments outlined in the UP\u2019s platform as specific pledges aimed at addressing socio-economic and political challenges facing the nation if elected.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe firmly view your agenda as a comprehensive plan that outlines your party\u2019s overarching goals, priorities, and intended actions if elected,\u201d Naymote stated, emphasizing the \u201cinterconnectedness of political commitments and the party agenda as essential elements forming a cohesive governance framework.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naymote clarified the utilization of multiple credible sources, including traditional and new social media platforms, alongside the official UP platform, for compiling the ninety-three (93) campaign promises reported. Out of these, eighty-three (83) promises were sourced from the party\u2019s manifesto, while others stemmed from campaign rallies and public statements made by the President-elect.<\/p>\n

Addressing the UP\u2019s concern regarding the disaggregation of commitments, Naymote asserted that the 58 agenda items provided in their report are considered trackable campaign promises, with 53 originating from the UP manifesto and 5 from the President-elect\u2019s pronouncements during speeches and rallies.<\/p>\n

Regarding the alignment of promises with the arrest document, Naymote clarified that it aimed to sectorize promises from various campaign sources to provide a clear organizational framework, with the sources of all promises clearly indicated in their report.<\/p>\n

Naymote reaffirmed its commitment to upholding integrity and objectivity in tracking promises, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and reflecting diverse perspectives. The organization expressed openness to collaborative discussions with the Unity Party-led government, intending to share insights on promised progress, gather updates, and address concerns.<\/p>\n

Moving forward, Naymote emphasized its commitment to continue tracking and reporting on President-elect Boakai\u2019s performance, documenting the 100-day deliverables and focusing on progress and development, as articulated during his certification on December 27, 2023, at the NEC.<\/p>\n
