Liberian President-elect Amb. Joseph Nyumah Boakai has assured citizens that Liberia his leadership is prepared to welcome investors for the development of the country.<\/p>\n

Boakai is due to be sworn in on 22 January 2024, taking over from outgoing President George Manneh Weah.<\/p>\n

He won the 14 November 2023 presidential run-off election, ending Mr. Weah\u2019s six years of rule.<\/p>\n

In celebration of his presidential victory, Amb. Boakai was certificated by the National Elders Council of the Unity Party (UP) on Friday, 12 January 2024.<\/p>\n

At that ceremony, he assured Liberians that his government would prioritize significant investments that would positively change the life of every Liberian.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank you for this certification following my election as President-elect of Liberia. I want to assure all Liberians that Liberia will be a different place under my leadership,\u201d said Amb. Boakai.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will prioritize investment and investors that will change the lives of everyone. We will bring the necessary jobs and development that you so desire,\u201d Amb. Boakai noted.<\/p>\n

President-elect Boakai was accompanied by his wife and incoming Liberian First Lady, Madam Katumu Boakai, and several members of his household.<\/p>\n

The auspicious occasion was held at the United Intercessory Prayer Ministry in Paynesville and brought together several delegates including Unity Party National Chairman Rev. Luther Tarpeh, and scores of other partisans and well-wishers of the UP.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Amb. Boakai expressed gratitude to Liberians and attributed his electoral success to divine favor. The incoming president emphasized a mission to rescue Liberia.<\/p>\n

He then urged the nation to continue looking up to God, asserting that their journey to the presidency was a worthy cause. He disclosed that a new chapter for Liberia has opened, and collective prayers will set the nation on the right path.<\/p>\n

At the honoring service, Amb. Boakai extended appreciation to all who supported and prayed for Liberia\u2019s rescue, reinforcing the idea that faith and divine intervention are integral to the nation\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the national chairman of the Unity Party, Rev. Luther Tarpeh, revealed that Amb. Boakai is always committed to his vision and plans for the nation and power will not change who he is in developing Liberia under his leadership.<\/p>\n

The Unity Party National Chairman at the same time urged clergymen to continue praying for Boakai and the nation for a total transformation of Liberia and its people.<\/p>\n

Rev. Tarpeh declared that Boakai possesses a fixed and dedicated mind to steer Liberia towards prosperity.<\/p>\n
