\nDefeated 2023 presidential candidate and renowned Liberian human rights lawyer Cllr Tiawan Saye Gongloe has urged President Joseph Nyuma Boakai\u2019s administration to identify and find a lasting solution to Liberia\u2019s age problem.<\/p>\n

According to Cllr. Gongloe, Liberia is facing several challenges that require strong and decisive leadership to address those challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiberia is facing a number of challenges that require strong and decisive leadership. From corruption concerns to political and socioeconomic struggles, it is clear that there is much work to be done in order to ensure that Liberia can reach its full potential,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He urged President Boakai to prioritize these issues and work tirelessly to find lasting solutions that will improve the livelihoods of the people of Liberia.<\/p>\n

Cllr. Gongloe took to his Facebook page late Monday, 22 January 2024 following his participation in the inauguration of President Boakai.<\/p>\n

He indicated through his Facebook page that they believe that if President Boakai engages the active participation of all Liberians regardless of their political, ethnic, and religious leanings, Liberia can overcome all obstacles to emerge stronger than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis afternoon at the Capitol Building, Dr. Emmanuel K. Urey Yarkpawolo and I joined foreign leaders & dignitaries, leaders from the private sector, civil society, faith sector, and the Liberian people in general to witness the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency, Joseph Nyumah Boakai, the 26th President of Liberia,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The human rights lawyer pointed out that on behalf of the Liberian People\u2019s Party (LPP), he would like to extend their warmest congratulations to the new President of Liberia as he assumed.<\/p>\n

He described the occasion and peaceful transition as a momentous occasion for Liberia and wished President Boakai well as he took on the responsibilities of leading this great nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce again, we congratulate President Boakai and wish him all the best as he begins the onerous task of leading Liberia at this time of our national history,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

After losing in the first round of the 2023 presidential election, Gongloe and his party backed President Boakai\u2019s presidential bid in the 14 November run-off.<\/p>\n
