Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Police in Gbarnga, Bong County, have launched a massive search for a 9-year-old child who went missing on Sunday afternoon in the Rubber Factory Community in Gbarnga, Bong County.<\/p>\n

The Police search was prompted by a protest from angry residents of the Rubber Factory Community on February 5, 2024, who stormed the Headquarters of the Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment, demanding the intervention of law enforcement in the search for the missing child.<\/p>\n

According to the furious citizens, the 9-year-old Moses T.K. Vesselee, (alias \u2018Kuwai\u2019, which means \u2018our own\u2019 in the Kpelle language), went missing during the afternoon hours of Sunday, February 4 when he, his parents and some church members, had all gone to dig sand at the bank of Jor River in Gbarnga.<\/p>\n

The missing child reportedly told his parents and other church members that he was going home to play with his friends in the community. That was the last they saw of him.<\/p>\n

They expressed fear that delays in the search of Little Moses might lead to an undesirable situation, reflective of the fate of other missing kids in the County whose alleged perpetrators have not yet been identified and arrested.<\/p>\n

The Rubber Factory Community residents implored the Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment through its Commander, Fasu Valai Sherriff, to investigate and intervene in the search for the mysterious disappearance of the 9-year-old boy.<\/p>\n

Moses is a 5th-grade student at Community House Elementary and Junior High School located in the Rubber Factory community, Gbarnga.<\/p>\n

In response to the community\u2019s petition, Commander Sherriff and his team at the Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment are actively investigating the case and urging community members to provide any vital information that may aid in their search.<\/p>\n

Commander Sherriff remains hopeful that they will find the missing child safe and sound in the coming hours.<\/p>\n

Sherriff said he and his men would institute all security measures since they received tipoff regarding the disappearance of the boy and expressed optimism that the living body of the little boy would be found in the coming hours.<\/p>\n

He, however, called on members of the Rubber Factory Community to assist the police with vital information to help their investigation to speedily establish the whereabouts of little Moses T.K. Vesselee.<\/p>\n
