Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The John F. Kennedy Medical Center (JFKMC) has announced that it will conduct a mass burial of unclaimed and abandoned dead bodies.<\/p>\n

JFKMC urged all families and friends of the neglected dead bodies to immediately visit and request a sit-in with the deputy CEO for administration to obtain a permit that would allow them have access to the bodies, failure to do so will result in mass burial.<\/p>\n

\u201cMass burial exercises will be conducted on all abandoned bodies that have not been claimed by the end of business on Friday, February 9, 2024,\u201d JFKMC said in a release.<\/p>\n

The announcement made by JFKMC is not the first of its kind. It is a routine exercise carried by one of the country\u2019s largest health center. JFKMC noted that the bodies are posing a serious health concern and embarrassment to the Medical Center and must be removed from the premises within the next 48 hours,\u201d JFKMC said in a release.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease be advised that the John F. Kennedy Medical Center will be conducting a mass burial of unclaimed and abandoned bodies left at tge JFMC more over the last 8 months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though the release did not mention the number of dead bodies, it stated that the center had no choice but to conduct a mass burial exercise to save the facility from potential health hazards.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease report to the administration building at the Medical Center and request an audience with the deputy CEO for administration to obtain a clearance to remove the remains of your family member.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the release, JFKMC will not be held liable for any bodies that has not been claimed by family or friends. \u201cAgain please note that the process will be completely free of charge. Failure to claim the remains will be considered consent for burial.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be no cost associated with claiming the remains of your deceased family member,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n
