Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Internet service provider CSquared, in collaboration with Telecel Liberia, has extended internet services to Nimba County. With this initiative, CSquared has become the latest internet service to hit the Nimba telecommunication market. The others are Lonestar MTN and Orange-Liberia.<\/p>\n

CSquared and Telecel Liberia are internet providers, who are using cable connected to the government-owned fiber optic line in Monrovia.<\/p>\n

Lanre Kouade, Chief Executive Officer of CSquared Africa, said he plans to connect Africa and the first target is to connect Gambia to Nigeria without going through oceans.<\/p>\n

Currently, he said, his company has already done about 350 kilometers, including Liberia and they plan to use the West Africa Power Poll facilities to connect everywhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are going to connect Cote d\u2019Ivoire and bring additional capacity to Liberia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cInternet connectivity is good because what the internet does, it broadens our lives and also changes our lives,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He said CSquared is now in Grand Bassa, Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, Montserrado, Margibi, Bong, and Nimba counties.<\/p>\n

At the launch of the internet service in Ganta recently, CSquared and Telecel Liberia provided free Wi-Fi Services to marketeers in the Ganta General Market and also on the Main Street of Ganta.<\/p>\n

The Wi-Fi, which appears on mobile and computer devices as \u2018Ganta City Wi-Fi\u2019 is still undergoing a test and it is said to be very speedy.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kouade assured the public of connecting the Internet to every part of Liberia and praised the Liberian team for doing their best.<\/p>\n

At the launch, CSquared also dedicated its Ganta Office which, according to the CEO, is their second office in Liberia.<\/p>\n

Guggie A. N. Tamba, Operations Manager for Telecel Liberia, which is also an Internet provider, said they provide Internet services to homes, offices, schools, businesses, and others.<\/p>\n

According to him, Telecel was established by a French businessman or investor and the service can be found in several African countries, including Ghana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, and now Liberia.<\/p>\n

He assured residents of Ganta that before July 24, 2024, the company\u2019s internet connection would reach as far as Loguatuo and Yekepa.<\/p>\n

Both companies are connecting customers using the undersea fiber optic cable connection. \u201cThe fiber cable belongs to the government, but we are using it to provide Internet service.\u201d<\/p>\n
