Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span> <\/b>FrontPageAfrica has gathered that former President George Weah and his wife, Madam Clar Weah, along with their entourage, were stopped from using the recently dedicated VIP lounge at the Roberts International Airport.<\/p>\n

The lounge was constructed by ex-President Weah and dedicated in December just a few weeks before leaving office.<\/p>\n

FrontPageAfrica has not been able to establish the reason why the ex-president was barred from using the lounge.<\/p>\n

Sekou Kalasco, the special aide to the former President, told FrontPageAfrica that they were in Accra, Ghana, when they received a call from one of Weah\u2019s security personnel informing them that the former President wouldn\u2019t be allowed to use the new VIP Lounge.<\/p>\n

According to him, they then called the protocol officers at the VIP lounge who confirmed to them that they had received \u201corders from above\u201d not to allow Pres. Weah and his wife to use the new VIP lounge.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndeed, we came and found the new VIP Lounge locked. We used the old one. The former President didn\u2019t feel good about this, and he feels this shouldn\u2019t have happened. During his regime, he even allowed former ministers from Madam Sirleaf\u2019s government to use the VIP lounge,\u201d Kalasco said.<\/p>\n
