Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The General Manager of Liberia\u2019s traditional football club, Invincible Eleven (IE) Majestic Sports Association, Eric Daniel, is calling on supporters of IE to come forward quickly to support the club.<\/p>\n

Eric Daniel, in an exclusive interview with FrontPage Africa, stated that IE currently has three teams: the football team, and male and female basketball teams. However, the association is facing serious financial difficulties, and there is an urgent need for former officials, players, and supporters of IE to assist the Yellow family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are calling on our former officials, players, and supporters of IE to quickly come in to assist this club because we are facing financial difficulties currently. Only little support is coming from one or two persons, and IE is one of Liberia\u2019s traditional teams, founded in the 1940s. But we are not receiving support from 90% of our members and supporters, so we are asking them to quickly come in because without them, the teams wouldn\u2019t survive in their respective leagues,\u201d Daniels said.<\/p>\n

The IE General Manager also wants government officials, senators like Sah Joseph, Zoe Pennoh, and Edwin Snow, former presidents of the association, and others associated with IE to come back and support the club. Without their support, the teams under the IE Majestic Sports Association will collapse.<\/p>\n

He stressed that IE is currently sitting fifth from the bottom on the Liberia Football Association (LFA) first division league table. Both the male and female basketball teams are gearing up for the Liberia Basketball Association (LBA) 2024 national league, and only support from their supporters will help their athletes deliver the necessary results, which he believes will help the teams finish among the top five teams in their respective leagues.<\/p>\n

Mr. Daniel furthered that IE\u2019s current football team head coach is Kelvin Sebwe, and assistant coach Oliver Markor are doing their best to maintain the team\u2019s status in the first division level. However, their players have not been paid for two months, which is why he is calling for support.<\/p>\n

He made it clear that the IE Majestic Sports Association will soon hold leadership elections, so he is calling on interested candidates to start contacting the association for detailed information concerning the association\u2019s upcoming elections.<\/p>\n
