{"id":5373,"date":"2021-12-15T15:21:36","date_gmt":"2021-12-15T15:21:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/liberia\/all-news\/lfa-new-headquarters-nears-completion"},"modified":"2021-12-15T16:21:55","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T16:21:55","slug":"lfa-new-headquarters-nears-completion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/liberia\/all-news\/lfa-new-headquarters-nears-completion","title":{"rendered":"LFA New Headquarters Nears Completion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The new headquarters of the Liberia Football Association, the first-ever to be owned by the football association, is nearing completion.<br \/>\nLocated in the Swankamore Community, SKD Boulevard in Congo Town, the construction project has reached the exterior finishing stage with final touches being done on the exterior walls.<br \/>\nThe project is one of FIFA\u2019s funded and approved projects for Liberia and is valued US$1.5 million.<br \/>\nWhen completed, the two-storey elevation, designed with an extended conference hall at its foot, will host the entire workforce of the football house including office spaces dedicated to the Executive Committee Members, and the Technical Department comprising various national teams, among others.<br \/>\nAlthough not located near the main streets of Congo Town, as it was earlier planned, the new headquarters will increase the football house\u2019s visibility to the public, maximising space with flexibility to accommodate staff, football stakeholders and partners.<br \/>\nThe headquarters project was designed and is being implemented by CESAF-Liberia Limited, a Liberian owned construction company.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are happy that the new headquarters will host the entire workforce of the FA, which will give us room to improve and partition the Antoinette Tubman Stadium so that the facility can meet up with the basic requirements to host international matches,\u201d LFA President Mustapha Raji told journalists after touring the project site.<br \/>\nOwning a headquarters is also part of requirements for a member association to meet up with in order to receive additional benefits from the FIFA Forward 2.0 fund.<br \/>\nFollowing the ascendancy of Mr. Raji as President of the FA, the football house moved from the Blue Plaza Building on Benson Street to the ATS in order to cut costs from the huge amount for rent that was paid annually.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/liberia\">Liberia<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Liberia.
