Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The newly appointed President of Bong County Technical College, Dr. Alfredson W. Tarkerweyah, has emphasized his commitment to building upon the accomplishments of his predecessors \u2014 assuring the students, staff, and faculty of the College that his takeover is intended for him to work and buttress the courageous efforts of those who served before him.<\/p>\n

During his official taking-over ceremony on April 3, Tarkerweyah expressed readiness to enhance the development of the college, striving to elevate its status within the educational landscape of Bong County and Liberia as a whole.<\/p>\n

Tarkerweyah was appointed by President Joseph N. Boakai and subsequently confirmed by the Board of Trustees of the BCTC in early March of this year to steer the affairs of the institution.<\/p>\n

As an institutionally driven person who is interested in hard work, the new BCTC President said he is prepared and ready to take the college to the next level for the betterment of the educational system of the County and the country at large.<\/p>\n

The Bong County Technical College President further assured students, faculty, and staff of the College that he will work cooperatively and assiduously with them in making sure that the BCTC maintains its credibility as one of Liberia\u2019s best institutions when it comes to the field of academia in Liberia.<\/p>\n

Tarkerweyah toured the various departments and other major facilities at the College to be abreast with conditions at the institution. He conducted a thorough tour of the college’s departments and facilities to identify challenges and gain insight into the working environment of the staff.<\/p>\n

Engaging in a dialogue with students on campus, he sought their perspectives on enhancing the learning experience at BCTC, which was well-received by the students, faculty, and staff.<\/p>\n

The interactive session provided a platform for students to contribute ideas for the advancement of the college, with many acknowledging the significance of the dialogue initiated by the new president.<\/p>\n

BCTC, established in 2010, offers technical and skill-oriented education in various disciplines and is accredited to provide undergraduate degrees in key fields such as Computer Science, Mining Engineering, and Nursing.<\/p>\n

With a current enrollment surpassing one thousand students, the college continues to serve aspiring learners nationwide, embodying a commitment to fostering academic excellence and technical proficiency in Liberia.<\/p>\n

According to our reporter, the President\u2019s tour was purposely intended to acquaint him with some challenges confronting the college and to also observe the environment and circumstances under which workers of the institution execute their daily functions and responsibilities.<\/p>\n
