Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>MONROVIA \u2014 Josiah F. Joekai, Jr., the Director-General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), has announced a four-month extension of the Personnel Action Notice (PAN) completion process for all individuals on the government payroll to regularize their status. This move aims to enable the CSA to establish comprehensive employee data for each employee.<\/p>\n

During the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT) regular press briefing on Wednesday, the CSA Boss stated, \u201cSince the CSA announced the requirement for individuals on the payroll to regularize their status by completing the Personnel Action Notices (PAN), they continue to receive calls and messages from individuals nationwide who have not complied with this key employment requirement.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we are pleased to announce that the 90-day PAN completion process has been extended to 120 days, spanning from April 2 to August 2, 2024. This extension will allow the CSA to deploy the necessary logistics and teams of analysts to collaborate with the Human Resource Departments of Spending Entities to ensure bona fide employees complete the PAN process,\u201d the CSA Boss elaborated.<\/p>\n

He added that the CSA would create jingles with relevant messages in both English and local languages to effectively educate and inform the public about the PAN completion exercise, airing them on national and local radio stations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will also continue to work closely with the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism (MICAT) to provide regular updates on the exercise. Additionally, I am pleased to inform you that Her Excellency Josephine Nkrumah, the Resident Representative of ECOWAS, has generously offered the CSA the opportunity to utilize the ECOWAS Radio Station to effectively educate and inform the public about the PAN completion process and other civil service reform activities. ECOWAS Radio\u2019s programs are broadcasted on 17 local radio stations across the country. We are very grateful to ECOWAS for this vital support,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n

In the forthcoming days, the CSA will distribute a timeline to all Spending Entities detailing key activities and execution dates, along with assigned teams. This timeline aims to assist Spending Entities, particularly Human Resource Departments, in adequately preparing for the exercise.<\/p>\n

The CSA Boss reiterated the Government of Liberia\u2019s unwavering commitment, under the distinguished leadership of His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., to transparency, accountability, and good governance in public finance management. He affirmed the CSA\u2019s dedication to achieving the ARREST Agenda and pledged to take all necessary legal steps to reform and professionalize the Public Service for enhanced performance and productivity.<\/p>\n
