Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Grand Cape Mount County Senator, Dabah M. Varpilah, led a groundbreaking ceremony over the weekend in Sinje Town, Garwula District, to begin the fencing of the Sinje Comprehensive Health Center.<\/p>\n

The project, sponsored by the National Association of Cape Mountainians in the Americas (NACA), aims to enhance healthcare facilities in the area.<\/p>\n

Senator Varpilah, who chairs the Committee on Health at the Liberian Senate, encouraged county residents to take ownership of the initiative and support NACA’s efforts with financial contributions to ensure the project’s timely completion.<\/p>\n

She personally set the example by making an initial contribution of $500 and pledging an additional $500 for the project.<\/p>\n

The event included a fundraising rally, during which Varpilah emphasized her ongoing commitment to advocating for increased budgetary allocation for better healthcare across the country, particularly in the 15 political subdivisions.<\/p>\n

NACA’s Representative to Liberia, Abass Kamara, outlined the project’s overview and highlighted NACA’s involvement in various development sectors, including healthcare, infrastructure, and education.<\/p>\n

Kamara recalled NACA’s previous work in the area and praised the collaborative approach taken with local citizens and organizations.<\/p>\n

Sumala Sannoh, representing LaaMa & Gopoe Liberia Incorporated, the local company responsible for implementing the project, assured attendees that the company would complete the work on schedule. He also praised NACA’s decision to hire a Cape Mount-based company.<\/p>\n

The event saw participation from Grand Cape Mount County’s newly confirmed Superintendent, Folley Kiatamba, and was attended by local leaders, religious figures, youth and women’s groups, civil society organizations, the disabled community, and former District Two representative Mambu Sonii.<\/p>\n

The ceremony highlighted the importance of community cooperation and collective efforts to improve healthcare in the county.<\/p>\n
