Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Sports Minister G. Andy Quamie has confirmed that the 2024 edition of the Intra-Governmental League will not take place due to unfavorable weather conditions during the rainy season and Cabinet disapproval amid ongoing transition processes.<\/p>\n

Consequently, Liberia Maritime Authority (LIMA) and the National Port Authority (NPA) will retain their titles from the 2023 IGL (Football and Kickball) tournaments until the event resumes in 2025.<\/p>\n

Having emerged victorious in the 2023 competition, the \u201cMarine Strikers\u201d of Liberia Maritime Authority (LIMA) currently hold the prestigious IGL trophy.<\/p>\n

LIMA clinched the championship by defeating Liberia Land Authority (LLA) 2-0, marking their first title win since 2001.<\/p>\n

In the Kickball category, the National Port Authority (NPA) emerged triumphant as the winner of the 2023 tournament.<\/p>\n

This victory secured NPA\u2019s status as three-time champions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS)-organized Intra-Governmental League, establishing NPA as a dominant force in the IGL.<\/p>\n
