Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary (LBTS), under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Momolu A. Massaquoi, recently celebrated the dedication of a new chapel designed for seminarian fellowship.<\/p>\n

The dedication ceremony took place at the Bradley D. and Carolyn Brown Fellowship Chapel on the LBTS Campus in Paynesville City. Among the attendees were prominent figures such as Rev. Dr. Prof. Momolu A. Massaquoi, President of LBTS; Alex Brown; Rev. Dr. Paul O. Kolawole, Graduate Dean; Rev. Cyrus Bunn, Extension Program Director; Oliver Tompoe, LBTS Student Council President; Rev. Trocon Langford, LBTS Alumni Association President; Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah, LBTS Board of Trustees Chairman; and Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Reeves, Jr.<\/p>\n

Mr. Kemayah, the LBTS Board Chairman, in a remark expressed his excitement and joy at the dedication of the new chapel, which he described as a significant addition to the seminary\u2019s commitment to theological education and the glory of God\u2019s kingdom.<\/p>\n

Kemayah emphasized LBTS\u2019s role as a premier theological institution, not only in Liberia but also in the broader subregion. He highlighted the seminary\u2019s efforts in supporting the government\u2019s educational initiatives by providing comprehensive education to its students, many of whom continue their academic pursuits even after graduation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis institution is complementing the efforts of the government of Liberia through administering services in the field of education, and as you are all aware, everywhere in the world, it is the primary responsibility of any government to ensure the education of its citizens,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd so the seminary is complementing the efforts of the government of Liberia because they do have students at the seminary and even as graduates that are pursuing education.\u201d<\/p>\n

He extended his heartfelt gratitude to the LBTS and the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention (LBMEC) for their collaboration in advancing education in Liberia. He also praised Dr. Massaquoi and his team for their dedication, passion, and inspirational leadership at the seminary.<\/p>\n

Kemayah assured Dr. Massaquoi and his team of the board\u2019s unwavering commitment to the seminary\u2019s growth and development, ultimately for the glory of God\u2019s kingdom. He encouraged the students to remain responsible and disciplined, embodying the mission and vision of LBTS.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo the student council president and the rest of the student leadership and students in imperative, we do value and appreciate your choices to come to the Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary,\u201d he added. \u201cWe want you to know that we will continue in an unwavering manner and form to work towards making the environment here at the seminary a better place.<\/p>\n

Oliver Tompoe, LBTS Student Council President, commended Dr. Massaquoi\u2019s influential and humane leadership, which has significantly impacted their academic journey. He expressed deep appreciation for the guidance and mentorship provided by Dr. Massaquoi and his team, which has helped shape them into promising leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stand on your shoulder to view the world and its dishonesty, but with the view from your shoulder, through the help of God, we are able or are starting to re-enforce to be our best and do the unthinkable in such a world. With your continued mentorship and the leadership ability that you have given, LBTS has produced many leaders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Rev. Dr. Prof. Momolu A. Massaquoi, in his address, lauded Board Chair Kemayah for his passionate and committed contributions to the seminary. He expressed his gratitude for the support and dedication that have made LBTS a better place.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on their efforts, Dr. Massaquoi concluded: \u201cI know that when our tenure has ended, we will all look back and say, \u2018To God be the glory, God used us for His glory.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
