Africa-Press – Liberia. <\/strong><\/span>The heirs of Joseph Simpson and his family are demanding that the Government of Liberia (GoL) provide records related to Joseph Simpson (1920s-1960s), Gloster Simpson (1832-1847), Roderick Simpson (1821-1833), Debrick Simpson (1835), and others. They claim that their rights to inherit and access historical family documents have been denied.<\/p>\n

The family expressed gratitude for the opportunity to use this medium to uncover hidden records and vital information about their family, including sacrifices made in the formation of the state that have been overlooked. They emphasized that these contributions are undeniable yet unacknowledged.<\/p>\n

Documents in the possession of the family indicate that the deeds received from the National Archive and the Liberia Land Authority appear to differ from the original records of the Simpsons. Additionally, a cadastral map dated 1967, provided to the family by the late James Holcombe, allegedly points to forgery.<\/p>\n

All relevant documents, including previous letters of complaint to Chairman Adam Moniba and former Commissioner for Land Administration Josephus Burgess of the Liberia Land Authority, have been handed to the new Commissioner of Land Administration.<\/p>\n

The family expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), the Liberia Land Authority (LLA), the US Embassy, the European Union, and others for receiving their complaints, though they have yet to receive a resolution.<\/p>\n

They highlighted a specific concern regarding a certified copy of a deed for 65 acres of land pertaining to one of their missing properties, noting that despite meeting all required conditions, a survey has yet to be conducted.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us be reminded that the ongoing land-related issues, if not addressed promptly, could escalate into a full-scale conflict,\u201d they warned.<\/p>\n

The family is urging the general public to search online for geo-coordinates related to Simpson Liberia, Joseph Simpson Farm, Liberia, Rev. Gloster Simpson (1832), and World Atlas Joseph Simpson Farm.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the heirs of Joseph Simpson are looking to the GoL and relevant agencies, including MICAT and the LLA, for assistance in obtaining accurate records of their family.<\/p>\n
